I frequently work with other family law attorneys, by providing attorney consulting services on a wide range of family law topics. As an objective observer and analyst, I can provide a sounding board for ideas, recommended negotiation or litigation strategies, or advice on handling unique situations or problem clients.

Divorce litigation or a child custody suit is always an option, and my extensive experience in such litigation can provide significant insights for attorneys handling such matters. I also have training in alternative dispute resolution techniques, and can provide advice for attorneys in those matters as well.

Legal Counsel for Mental Health Professionals

Psychologists, therapists, and social service professionals must deal with many legal issues facing their clients, as well as themselves. Jo Benson Fogel, P.A. provides cogent advice and counseling for mental health professionals, so that they can provide the best care and services for their clients.

Sometimes it may be as simple as explaining the legal choices facing a mental health professional's client. In another cases, it may be advising a professional how to direct the professional's client toward the right legal counsel. Advice for Individuals

In addition to directly representing individual clients in family law cases, I provide legal consulting services in cases where the party already has legal representation, either to the person, the person's parent, or another interested party. This can provide a second opinion and a reality check regarding the legal strategy proposed by the person's lawyer. I can suggest adjustments or a change in strategy when needed. At the very least, I can provide peace of mind and the assurance that the person's interests are being protected.
